In over 5 years that I’ve been blogging, I have never had this problem happen! If you attempt to go to http://moderngirlstyle.blogspot.com, my website doesn’t load instead there is a grey screen with a white box at the center with a red bar stating that my blog could potentially infected computers with malware. I read through the steps at Google Webmaster tools, but I found no code that seemed to be bad. What do I do? It is really important that I regain my old status. Can any one help? Thanks for reading! Kamela
I just wanted to update that I removed blog links on my blog roll that seemed to be the domain for the malware, which was Bandelle.com and Pinkpeony73.blogspot.com. I could not find the other two websites listed on my blog to remove them. I’m not sure if this will help, but I still need help in clearing the two other problems listed!! Thanks be to however reads this and has any suggestions!!!
Because you blog has been flagged by Google
you will need to submit a malware review request to Google in the Webmaster Tools account for your site to get the warning removed.
Thanks Redleg. I have submitted a malware review to Google via webmaster tools. Do you know how long it takes to have my website reviewed? One more questions, how do I know that my message sent correctly? I seem to have no inbox/outbox/sent message box at webmaster tools and I did not receive a confirmation page that my message was successfully sent. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
PS: Can you, or anyone, tell me if there is bad code in my html? I read through it looking for possible code, but didn’t seem to find any. I use MAC so if you had any suggestions on programs that can run the code on my website & my posts, that would be awesome.
First I will give you the Google docs answer
How long will a review take?
From ref: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/10/malware-we-dont-need-no-stinking.html
Webmasters are eager to have a Google malware label removed from their site and often ask how long a review of the site will take. Both the original scanning and the review process are fully automated. The systems analyze large portions of the internet, which is big place, so the review may not happen immediately. Ideally, the label will be removed within a few hours. At its longest, the process should take a day or so.
from what I have seen the vast majority of the sites clear in a few hours, just depends on how many sites are in the que ahead of you.
Google does not respond via Email or acknowledge the submission in any way. About the only thing you can do is go back into Webmaser Tools and try to submit again. It should come back and say you can not submit because a review is pending.
I could not see any problems in your code. Looks like the flag came from the bandelle site but that site has been cleared now.
